Dr Bougdah’s interests focus on the technological, ecological and human aspects of architectural design., and his research covers topics such as sustainable design, innovative low tech/low energy/low impact buildings, spatial experience of users and issues of culture, urbanisation and globalisation. He also supervises a number of researchers. He has overall responsibility for the school’s curriculum design, delivery and assessment Architectural Technology at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels. Hocine Bougdah is a Reader in Architectural Technology at the Canterbury School of Architecture, University for the Creative Arts, Canterbury, UK, where he is also a Reader in and subject area leader for Technology and the Environment. In 2005, she received a PhD degree cum laude in Architecture from the University of Paris VIII. She holds a master’s degree in Building Engineering from the University of Messina, and earned specialist degrees in Urban Preservation, and Strategic Planning and Management in Paris. She teaches in the Master of Architecture program and is an Associate researcher at the Institut Parisien de Recherche Architecture Urbanistique Société (IPRAUS), a research laboratory of the ENSAPB – National Superior School of Architecture of Paris-Belleville. Antonella Versaci is a Researcher and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Kore University of Enna, where she is responsible for the Laboratory of Restoration of Architectural and Cultural Heritage.
